Conferencing Set-Top Systems
Set-Top Systems are Video Conferencing Systems which
generally sit on top of a TV monitor or other display.
The whole unit can then be put onto a 'cart' and moved
around your premises. Most Set-Top Systems provide the
ability to plug in peripheral equipment like computers
and data conferencing devices such as whiteboards that
allow you to draw on a special screen and to have your
annotations appear on that screen and at the remote
site.
High end Systems have the ability to conference at
higher bandwidths and some Systems incorporate built-in
multipoint facilities allowing many participants to
meet at once.
Set-top based Video Conferencing products
The following are non-PC systems and most are capable of including several participants in a session. All adhere to the H.323 standard for
IP conferencing and most have optional ISDN connectivity for H.320 standards compliance.
